What is Redpoint?

Redpoint is a high-quality community designed especially with the University of Florida and Santa Fe Community College students in mind.

Is Redpoint part of the University of Florida?

Can I live with friends, or can you match me with roommates?

You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.

What are per-person contracts?

Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at Redpoint has their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom. This means you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. Even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom. What is included in the rate?

Each resident at Redpoint pays a flat rate that includes:

  • Furnishings
  • High-speed Internet
  • Trash disposal
  • Washer and dryer in each apartment
  • 24-hour on-site management
  • Community features — pool, fitness center, clubhouse, etc.
What size are the homes?

The spacious accommodations at Redpoint range from 2 to 4-bedroom with private bathrooms for each bedroom. Two-bedroom townhomes even have an extra half-bath.

Are the homes furnished?

Yes, all apartments at Redpoint have a furniture package that includes a full-size XL bed, 2 stackable dressers in each bedroom, plus a sofa, an arm chair, coffee table and entertainment stand in each living room. Plus, all residences also include a dining table and chairs. To see a sample of the furniture and other finishes, please visit our model residences.

When do the contracts start and end?

The standard term is August 06, 2022 to July 22, 2023, with payments made in 12 equal installments. Other alternate dates are available; please inquire with our staff. Click here to see a sample Housing Agreement.

Is a co-signer or financial guaranty required?

After a Housing Agreement is signed, each resident is required to secure their financial obligation in one of two ways: by providing a qualifying guarantor (often a parent) or by purchasing a third-party guaranty from our partner, Leap. In limited cases, we may also waive the requirement for a financial guaranty if a resident has sufficient income of their own.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. Redpoint also offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.

Will my financial aid cover charges at Redpoint?

Your living costs at Redpoint can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at Redpoint. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.

Is Redpoint open to non-students?

Most of the residents at Redpoint are students at the University of Florida or Santa Fe Community College. The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. Nonetheless, Redpoint is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes applications from non-students. Family members are welcome as well, subject to occupancy limits. Because of the need to match student roommates, non-students must apply together with enough roommates to fill the desired residence.

What kind of safety and security are provided?

Redpoint has monitored fire sprinklers, plus electronic locks and individually locking bedroom doors. Community courtesy patrols and private security dispatch service are also provided at select times.

What are the policies on pets, smoking and guests?

Redpoint is pet-friendly, subject to limits on animals and breed. The community is smoke-free in all indoor and adjacent areas. Guests are welcome at all times, subject to the consent of roommates and security considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, with limits on the number of days and guests.

Can I park my vehicle at Redpoint?

Yes, Redpoint offers ample parking for residents and guests.
